Maintenance

Asset management Maintenance

Proper maintenance can easily improve an energy system’s revenue by 10 to 15%. So that’s reason enough to place your installations in the hands of professionals. Scheduled maintenance is increasingly predictive – we replace components that are likely to fail. We plan maintenance at convenient times in order to prevent expensive repairs and optimise uptime.

Healthy assets

What we do

An energy asset needs to remain safe, reliable and available. That’s why we combine preventive and corrective maintenance with daily monitoring and on-site knowledge. If we spot a deviation or fault, we act.

We’d rather stay ahead of problems. That’s why a large part of our maintenance is carried out periodically and preventively. Data from our management portfolio helps us recognise wear and deviations earlier and earlier. Wherever possible, we plan maintenance for moments when the impact on production stays limited. Replacing an inverter, for example, is better done on a planned basis during a quiet period than after an unexpected failure.

Technical maintenance

Our maintenance team carries out electrical and mechanical maintenance on high and low-voltage installations. From torque checks and cable inspections to the maintenance and replacement of inverters, transformers and switchgear.

Preventive where possible, corrective where necessary. This keeps the technical condition, safety and availability of the asset at the right level.

Inspections (Scope 12)

In the Netherlands, Klaer coordinates Scope 12 inspections for rooftop solar, the Dutch insurance-sector standard for electrical safety, fire risk, quality and reliability.

This can involve a First Special Inspection (EBI) after installation, or a Periodic Inspection (PI) during the operational phase, giving both asset owner and insurer a clear picture of the installation’s technical condition.

Spare parts and warranties

Good maintenance also depends on having the right parts at the right time. Klaer coordinates spare parts management, warranties and parts storage.

By keeping an overview of available components, we can respond faster to faults and planned replacements, limiting downtime wherever possible.

Site maintenance

Not everything happens inside the installation itself. Conditions on site can also affect performance, safety and accessibility, think of dirt, vegetation or other environmental factors. Where needed, we also coordinate cleaning and site maintenance.

On solar parks, this includes vegetation management. We handle mowing and grazing, and maintain hedgerows, green banks and brush piles, taking into account site layout, accessibility and biodiversity.

This keeps the entire asset in good condition, from the technical installation to the site, and from planned maintenance to fast intervention when needed.

KNOW ‘OUR’ ENERGY SYSTEMS

Quality is key.

We know the assets we manage inside and out. Through daily monitoring, regular inspections and on-site knowledge, we know what’s going on. This lets us spot deviations quickly and act with precision, from a fault that needs immediate attention to advice on performance, maintenance or optimisation.

That personal approach is valued. In our client satisfaction survey, Klaer scores a 9. We’re proud of that. Clients work with dedicated points of contact and short lines of communication, so it’s always clear who’s responsible for what and what’s happening.

Klaer now manages, maintains and optimises more than 100 sustainable energy assets, together totalling 1.7 GWp. From solar parks and rooftop solar to batteries and complex energy systems. With expertise in both technology and operations, we make sure assets keep performing reliably.
