our story

Service partner for large-scale energy systems.

We’re Klaer. A new company and a new name as of 2023. But we didn’t just fall out of the sky. We have many years’ experience servicing large-scale solar farms. As a trusted partner, we did and still do this for Novar and other investors in and owners of green energy systems. We now manage over thirty solar parks and over 800 MWp of capacity in the Netherlands. This means we have one of the largest portfolios in the country. We’re especially proud that we manage the largest solar carport in the world (in Biddinghuizen) and the green energy system with battery storage in Terneuzen.

We make the most of green assets. That’s what we aim for every day and why we continue to invest in our knowledge and people. We regularly visit sites and provide ‘boots on the ground’ for all our clients. We know the local environment and maintain contact with semi-governmental authorities, regulatory bodies and local residents. We also provide all our services under one roof: we take care of the administrative, technical and commercial aspects of asset management, arrange maintenance and provide advice on best performance. This means we keep green energy systems in top technical and financial condition.

We look beyond a single asset type. The energy of the future comes from complex combinations of generation, conversion, storage and networks – such as closed distribution systems and smart hubs. We no longer think in boxes when it comes to solar farms and batteries. After all, effective asset management requires focus on and knowledge of the entire system.
